Description

Genie GU4T 4-button universal remote — dealer pack GU4T-BX / GU4TR-P, part 40659R (retail GU4T 40769R) — one remote for Genie Intellicode, LiftMaster / Chamberlain / Craftsman Security+ and Security+ 2.0, Linear MegaCode, Stanley, Wayne Dalton, Sommer, Guardian, Marantec and FAAC openers built since 1993. Four buttons, each learnable to a different opener or gate, CR2032 battery in, visor clip and key ring in the box. The remote to keep in the glovebox when a household has two brands of opener or a gate and a garage from different makers.

Not a Security+ 3.0 remote. The 2025-onward LiftMaster white-button openers (2420L, 6580L, 6690L) pair over Bluetooth and take the L993M. For everything with a coloured learn button or a Genie program button, the GU4T works.

Common questions

How do I program it to a LiftMaster?
Hold the two outer buttons until the LED changes, choose the brand code from the sheet, then press the opener's learn button and the remote button. The sheet lists a code for each brand; keep it.

Will it open my gate?
If the gate operator has a receiver from one of the brands above — a LiftMaster LA400 or CSW24U, a Linear MegaCode receiver, a Genie or Overhead Door receiver — yes. DoorKing, Ramset and other 300 / 310 MHz gate receivers need their own remote.

Photo eyes must be working?
Yes. A rolling-code opener with the safety beams disconnected will not learn any remote.
